This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) governs the shipment, delivery, logistics timelines, responsibilities, risks and limitations applicable to all orders placed on fashionkart.ai.


1. SHIPPING MODEL OVERVIEW

  1. fashionkart.ai operates as a multi-vendor marketplace.

  2. Product shipping is enabled through third-party logistics aggregation platforms, including Shiprocket.

  3. Shiprocket acts only as a logistics technology facilitator connecting Sellers with courier partners.

  4. The Platform does not own, operate or control courier companies.


2. ROLE OF PLATFORM, SELLER & LOGISTICS PARTNERS

2.1 Platform Role (Limited)

The Platform:

  • Facilitates order creation and shipment initiation

  • Shares shipping details with Sellers and logistics partners

  • Displays tracking information received from Shiprocket/couriers

The Platform does not guarantee delivery timelines or courier performance.

2.2 Seller Role (Primary)

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Packaging products securely

  • Timely dispatch of orders

  • Handing over shipments to Shiprocket-assigned courier partners

  • Compliance with shipping standards

2.3 Courier / Logistics Partner Role

Courier partners are responsible for:

  • Pickup, transit and delivery

  • Delivery attempts and proof of delivery

  • Handling RTO (Return to Origin) shipments


3. SHIPPING COVERAGE & SERVICEABILITY

  1. Shipping is available only to serviceable pincodes as determined by Shiprocket and courier partners.

  2. Serviceability may vary based on:

    • Location

    • Courier availability

    • Government or operational restrictions

  3. Non-serviceable locations may result in:

    • Order cancellation

    • Delayed dispatch


4. SHIPPING TIMELINES (INDICATIVE)

  1. Dispatch Timeline:

    • Typically 1–3 business days after order confirmation (Seller dependent)

  2. Delivery Timeline:

    • Metro cities: 3–7 business days

    • Non-metro / remote areas: 5–10 business days

  3. Timelines are indicative only, not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Courier capacity issues

  • Government restrictions

  • Festive or peak seasons


5. SHIPPING CHARGES

  1. Shipping charges may be:

    • Charged separately at checkout

  2. Shipping charges are calculated based on:

    • Correct address and contact details

    • Availability at delivery location

  3. Failure due to:

    • Customer unavailability

    • Delivery refusal
      may result in RTO (Return to Origin).


8. RTO (RETURN TO ORIGIN)

  1. RTO occurs when delivery fails due to customer-side reasons.

  2. In RTO cases:

    • Order may be cancelled

    • Shipping and RTO charges may be deducted

  3. Refunds (if any) shall be governed strictly by:

    • Return Policy

    • Refund Policy


9. PACKAGING & TRANSIT RISK

  1. Sellers are responsible for proper packaging.

  2. Damage during transit due to:

    • Poor packaging

    • Seller negligence
      shall be Seller liability.

  3. The Platform is not liable for courier mishandling beyond facilitation.


10. PARTIAL SHIPMENTS

  1. Orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately.

  2. Partial shipments may arrive at different times.

  3. Tracking details will be provided for each shipment.


11. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION & PROOF

  1. Delivery is considered complete based on:

    • Courier delivery status

    • OTP / signature / tracking confirmation

12. LOST, DELAYED OR STUCK SHIPMENTS
